EDUC 5922 - Advanced Strategies and Methods: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages: Birth to 5th Grade

Addresses teacher knowledge and skills required for effective instruction of English Learners (ELs) from birth through 5th grade. Students develop understandings and appropriate application of best practices in language and literacy development, teaching techniques, materials, classroom management, application of instructional standards, evaluation, and professional development for teachers of young children. Prerequisites: EDUC 5920 and EDUC 5921 or department head approval.
