This course addresses the OT process from the referral to discontinuation of services for persons with mental illness. A particular focus of this course is on advocacy for persons with mental illness in the community, particularly in rural areas, as well as issues of reimbursement. Prerequisites: admission into the OTD program or department head approval. Differential course fee will be assessed. Standard letter grade.
