The design and analysis of quality systems. Fundamental coverage of statistical process control, quality control concepts, control charts, product specifications, process control, acceptance sampling systems, and other means of assurance widely used in many industries to improve product and service quality and to reduce costs. Introduction of lean thinking tools, types of waste, process mapping, poka yoke, lean system standards, dashboards, manufacturing designs, and 5S. Pre or Corequisites: ENGM 5030 or department head approval. Differential Course Fee will be assessed.
