COUN 5450 - Counseling Skills (3) Credit Hours
An introduction to basic counseling skills (Attending, listening, responding, and problem solving) through role play and application. Students gain skills and techniques of basic counseling by participating in simulated counseling sessions with peers. Prerequisites: Formal admission into the clinical mental health or school counseling program or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
