COUN 5440 - Theories and Techniques of Counseling (3) Credit Hours
A study and multicultural critique of the major theoretical approaches to counseling including but not limited to: Psychoanalytic, Adlerian, Client-centered, Gestalt, Behavioral, Cognitive-Behavioral, Reality, and Systems theory. Students will learn counseling techniques associated with different theories through applied in-class and extra-class activities. Prerequisites: COUN 5020 or department head approval.
