GEOL 4500 - Economic Geology

(4) Credit Hours

Origin, distribution, and classification of mineral deposits found in igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks with an introduction to methods of exploration and mining.  On demand. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours.  Prerequisites: GEOL 3420 , CHEM 1120 /CHEM 1120L  or department head approval. Corequisites: GEOL 4500L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
