NUTR 4220 - Maternal and Child Nutrition (2) Credit Hours
This course will focus on the nutritional needs of pregnant women, infants, children and adolescents. It will cover a variety of topics on each group, including psychosocial factors that affect eating behaviors, trends in food consumption, nutritional concerns, current nutrition topics and programs and policies designed to improve nutritional status. This course is designed to facilitate the learner through a series of topics in maternal and child nutrition. It includes a series of lecture notes, assessments (quizzes), and activities. Information and resources will be given to students as they maneuver through the course. Prerequisites: NUTR 3340 or department head approval. Dietetics majors only and senior standing, and/or department head approval.
