SOC 4240 - Applied Social Research (3) Credit Hours
Examination of the various issues faced by applied social researchers when developing a framework for conducting the research and when determining which data collection and analysis methods are most suitable given the research objectives and needs of the client. Focus on both quantitative and qualitative methods, but with special emphasis on the latter. Every second semester. Prerequisites: SOC 3140 or PSY 2020 or PSPS 3000 or other approved course in social research or department head approval. May be registered as PSY 4240 . Credit not allowed in both SOC 4240 and PSY 4240 .
