The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
Student Handbook
Welcome
Dear Students,
Welcome to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga! A new academic year holds many exciting opportunities for each of you. I encourage you to take advantage of everything our campus and community have to offer. Your experiences outside the classroom are just as important to your future career as those inside the classroom. Take the time to join an organization, intramural sports team, student government, band, or other group – or to volunteer within the community.
Speaking for the faculty and staff of UTC, we appreciate your trust in us to provide an exciting, challenging, and rewarding educational experience. If you need assistance or information, please call on us; we are here to make your university experience enjoyable and successful.
Along the way, take the time to nurture friendships, strive to be the best you can in everything you do, break out of your comfort zone by engaging with people who may be different than you, and get involved in clubs and organizations you may not have considered before.
This is an exciting and special time to be a Moc. We are happy to have you with us. Enjoy your journey.
Sincerely,
Steven R. Angle, Ph.D.
Chancellor
