In the Spanish for Healthcare minor, students develop linguistic and cultural competencies in order to prepare them to work in the field of medicine. This program prepares students to succeed and thrive in careers as bilingual healthcare providers or interpreters in medical settings. In addition to gaining language proficiency and intercultural competence in Spanish, students will develop key skills for today’s job market, such as oral and written communication skills, analyzing and interpreting information, problem-solving, resilience, and self-reliance.

18 hours of Spanish courses including the following:

Minimum 2.0 average in the minor.

Eight credit hours must be at the 3000 level or above.
