Additional Information and Notes


Minimum of 39 hours of 3000-level and 4000-level courses in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

The Physics:Biophysics, B.S. degree track is appropriate for students who want an interdisciplinary training in biology, chemistry, math, and physics in order to use quantitative methods of physics and math to think about biological problems. Students planning for graduate studies in physics should pursue the Physics, B.S. degree plan to also take PHYS 3410  , PHYS 3420  , and PHYS 3980 .

Students beginning lower than MATH 1950  must add lower MATH classes and should plan to take math each semester until MATH 2550  is completed.

2.0 GPA in all required major and related courses (including specified General Education courses).

Electives to complete 120 hours.
