With a focus on active living and healthy eating, we prepare students for professional careers, conduct applied research, and engage our communities and professions to enhance health-related quality of life.
The Department of Health and Human Performances’ (HHP) vision is to create nationally engaged programs of excellence that advance active living and healthy eating. The Department is housed within the College of Health, Education and Professional Studies. With a focus on active living and healthy eating, our mission is to prepare students for professional careers, conduct applied research, and engage our communities and professions to enhance health related quality of life. Career programs tracks include Exercise Science Applied and Pre-Professional, Nutrition with concentrations in dietetics and food and nutrition, Health and Exercise Science Pedagogy K-12, and Sport and Leisure Service Administration with options in leisure service administration, sport administration or outdoor recreation administration.
