COUN 5450 - Counseling Skills

An introduction to basic counseling skills (Attending, listening, responding, and problem solving) through role play and application. Students gain skills and techniques of basic counseling by participating in simulated counseling sessions with peers. May be registered as EPSY 5450. Credit not allowed in both COUN 5450 and EPSY 5450. Prerequisite: Formal admission into the community or school counseling program, admission into the school psychology program, or department head approval.
