The principles and practice of effective reading and writing. Frequent themes, exercises, selected readings. Attention to individual problems of grammar and usage. Every semester. Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 1006 or placement or department head approval. In rare instances exemption from English 1010 may be recommended by the department.
