ACC 5006 - Auditing and Assurance

Auditing and Assurance will highlight the importance of auditing in today’s U.S. and global economy. The course will explore the types of audits, systems of accounts, and methodology used today. There will be an emphasis on the mechanics and impact of the COSO internal control framework. Research and critical thinking skills will be developed throughout the course. Further, the course will emphasize the importance of ethics in the CPA profession and for society. Every semester. Prerequisites: ACC 5005 or Department Head approval. Must be enrolled in M.Acc Executive Concentration. Differential Course Fee will be assessed. Business Graduate Course Fee will be assessed.
