CHEM 1050 - Principles of Chemistry (LC)

(3) Credit Hours

Topics include unit analysis, properties of matter, reactions in solutions, basic stoichiometry, behavior of gases, nuclear chemistry, basic atomic structure, and chemical bonding.  This course does not count towards a chemistry major or minor and it does not satisfy the entrance requirements of medical, veterinary medical, or dental schools.Lecture 3 hours.Prerequisites: MATH 1130  or MATH 1710  or MATH ACT of 19 or above, or Department Head approval.Pre or Corequisites: MATH 1720  or MATH 1730  or MATH 1830  or MATH 1950  or MATH 1960  and CHEM 1050L  with a minimum grade of C, or Department Head approval.
