ENCH 5460 - Fundamentals and Innovations of Renewable Energy


(3) Credit Hours

The purpose of this course is to provide a survey of the most important renewable energy resources and the related technologies for harnessing them, from simple methods to state-of the-art advanced energy systems. Subject areas include a review of thermal sciences, fundamentals and applications of solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, biomass energy, hydrogen and fuel cells, economics of renewable energy, energy and the environment, innovations in renewable energy. Fall or Spring semester. Differential Course Fee will be assessed.
