Selection of expression and vector systems; bioprocess development with upstream, mid-stream and downstream analyses; fermentation processes, bioreactor design; enzyme kinetics; biomass chemistry and conversion technologies; bioseparation; bioproducts formulation; biopharmaceuticals; biofuels; bioremediation; biorefinery; bioproduct regulation; biosafety; and commercialization. Fall and Spring semester. Prerequisites: Good academic standing or Department Head approval. Differential Course Fee will be assessed.
