ENGL 5115 - History of Rhetorical Theory I: Ancient Greece to Renaissance (3) Credit Hours
A study of the history of rhetoric from its beginnings in Ancient Greece through the Renaissance with attention to the cultural contexts that influenced rhetoric’s development. Students will study rhetorical theory and practices of Ancient Greece and Rome and Medieval and Renaissance Europe. Required for Rhetoric and Writing Concentration. Offered in fall semester.
