ENEE 5730 - Power System Stability and Control (3) Credit Hours
Introduction to the power system stability problem. Synchronous machine theory and modeling, synchronous machine parameters, synchronous machine representation in stability studies, AC transmission, power system loads, excitation systems, prime movers and energy supply systems. Control of active and reactive power, small signal stability, transient stability, voltage stability, methods of improving stability. Differential Course Fee will be assessed.
