EDUC 5923 - Advanced Strategies and Methods: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages: 6th to 12th Grade

(3) Credit Hours

Addresses teacher knowledge and skills required for effective instruction of English Learners (ELs) from 6th to 12th grade.  Students develop understandings and appropriate application of best practices in language and literacy development, teaching techniques, materials, classroom management, application of instructional standards, evaluation, and professional development for teachers of adolescents. Prerequisites: EDUC 5921 and EDUC 5922 or department head approval.
