ESC 5070r - Techniques in Ecology and Conservation Series


(3-4) Credit Hours

A study of advanced topics and techniques in ecology and conservation concerning a specific area.  The course is based on the Oxford University Press series entitled, A Handbook of Techniques in Ecology and Conservation, and includes the following advanced topics:  birds, conservation education and outreach, forest ecology, habitat management, sustainable use, invasive species management, amphibians, insect conservation, remote sensing, reptiles, marine mammals, carnivores, primates, and others.  May be repeated when the topics differ.Fall and spring semester.Graduate standing or department head approval.Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.Standard Letter Grade
