Combination seminar and practicum to enrich students’ educational training in physical activity and public health by providing an opportunity to apply theory and skills acquired from their concentration to public health research and/or practice. Placement sites include community-based organizations; research, clinical and school based settings; and federal, state, local and/or international public health agencies and organizations. Students contribute to an agency’s resources and to the solution of public health problems while developing personal confidence and leadership as a public health professional. Prerequisites: department head approval. Graded on a satisfactory/no credit basis.
