HIST 2230 - Empires, Nations, and Wars: Europe since 1800 (3) Credit Hours
This course surveys important themes and developments of European history from the beginning of the French Revolution to approximately the turn of the twenty-first century. Topics covered may include the balance of power in Europe and international relations; the rise of imperialism; the spread of industrial society; the problems of world wars and reconstruction; the decline of European colonial systems, and the diplomacy of the Cold War. Every 2-3 semesters.Pre or Corequisites: ENGL 1010 , or ENGL 1011 , or ENGL 1020 , or HIST 2100 , or UHON 1010 , or department head approval.
