MUS 1760 - Aural Skills II

Continuation of the mastery of diatonic harmony and melody, expanding into pre-dominant harmonies; transposition of diatonic melodies; aural recognition and notation of standard diatonic melodies and chord progressions; basic improvisation over tonic, pre-dominant, and dominant harmonies. Class hours 2. Prerequisites: Completion of MUS 1750 with grade of C or better or department head approval. Corequisites: MUS 1720 Musicianship II and MUS 1740 Musicianship Lab II.
