GEOL 4050 - Principles of Geochemistry

(4) Credit Hours

Origin, distribution, and behavior of chemical elements on Earth. Applications of chemistry to geologic problems.  On demand. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory and recitation 2 hours.  Prerequisites: GEOL 1110 /GEOL 1110L  and 1 year of college chemistry or department head approval. Calculus level math is highly recommended. Corequisites: GEOL 4050L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
