ENGL 4720r - Advanced Short Story Workshop

This course is designed to move students toward the production of short fiction of publishable quality. Students will present their own work to their peers to be critiqued and will be responsible for critiquing the works of others. Students will also be expected to read short story collections and works on craft as assigned. There will be required common as well as independent readings in contemporary short fiction. Maximum 9 hours will apply toward the degree. Prerequisites: ENGL 2700 or ENGL 3740r or ENGL 3750r or ENGL 3760r or department head approval.
