BIOL 4280 - Cellular Biology (4) Credit Hours
An exploration of life’s basic unit: morphological and chemical organization of cells, cell biochemistry, life cycles, cellular reproduction and cell regulation, bioenergetics, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, cell molecular genetics, cell signaling and communication, cancer; immune response. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 3250 with a minimum grade of C; CHEM 3020 and CHEM 3020L ; or department head approval. Corequisites: BIOL 4280L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
