BIOL 4520 - Limnology and Reservoir Ecology (4) Credit Hours
Chemical, physical, and biological processes in lake and reservoir systems (nutrient budgets and cycling, hydrodynamics, phytoplankton/ zooplankton/benthic dynamics, and physical similarities and differences in lakes and reservoirs). Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 3060 , BIOL 3250 , BIOL 3350 , CHEM 1110 , and CHEM 1120 , all with minimum grades of C, or department head approval. Corequisites: ESC 4520L or department head approval. May be registered as ESC 4520 . Credit not allowed in both BIOL 4520 and ESC 4520 . Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
