EDUC 3350 - Diversity in the Schools


(2) Credit Hours

This course will survey the major social and psychological processes involved in diversity, human relations, and how these processes impact teaching, learning, and other human interactions. Teacher candidates will develop appropriate knowledge and skills for managing the total learning environment in the early childhood setting; emphasis on developing skills that facilitate effective teaching through appropriate management techniques that are sensitive to individual needs of children within a culturally and economically diverse population and the involvement of parents and community members. Field experience required.
