ENGL 3720 - Reading Like a Writer: The Short Lyric Tradition (3) Credit Hours
Designed to provide students with a context for the creation of their own poetry, this course explores the roots and evolving craft of the modern short lyric in English, examining how authors have shaped their poetry to express unique artistic visions through the ages. Close attention will be paid to issues of craft, convention, and innovation. Prerequisites: ENGL 1020 or department head approval.
