NUTR 3270 - Nutrition Education Principles and Practice


(2) Credit Hours

Overview of theories and methods related to health behavior and health education as it applies to food and nutrition professions. Addresses motivation/compliance of individuals with health regimens; methods of education for the adult learner; sociological, cultural and psychological influences in food nutrition behaviors; and marketing of nutrition and food information. Prerequisites: NUTR 1450  or department head approval.  Dietetics majors only.
