BIOL 4540 - Plant Ecology (4) Credit Hours
A study of relationships of plants with their living and non-living environment, explored from the levels of plant individuals, populations and communities. Laboratory component includes hands-on experimentation and field activities developed to assess plant responses to abiotic and biotic environmental conditions. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 3060 and BUS 3350 with minimum grades of C, or department head approval. Corequisites: BIOL 4540L or department head approval. May be registered as ESC 4540. Credit not allowed in both BIOL 4540 and ESC 4540. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
