SOC 3550 - Sociology of Globalization

Examination of the increasing globalization of political, social, economic, and individual processes. Topics include the effects of globalization on the changing nature of work, the homogenization of cultures, religious fundamentalism as response, the decline of the nation-state, and the impact on the self. Prerequisites: SOC 1510 or department head approval.
