NUTR 4370 - Medical Nutrition Therapy I

(4) Credit Hours

The study of diet as it relates to prevention and treatment of disease. Experiences in nutritional assessment techniques and evaluation of malnutrition among various chronic disease states. Dietary calculations for obesity, endocrine disorders, cardiovascular disease, and upper gastrointestinal disorders. Includes directed field experiences. Fall semester. Corequisites: NUTR 4350  and NUTR 4360  or department head approval. Pre or Corequisites: NUTR 3370  or department head approval. Dietetics majors only.
