EDUC 4470 - Student Teaching in Foreign Language Education

Enhanced student teaching in PreK-8 and 9-12 settings in Student Teaching. Placements will ensure experiences in diverse schools. Every semester. Prerequisites: All education courses, 100% of content courses, admission to Teacher Education Program, application for and admission to Residency II, satisfactorily complete and pass all PRAXIS II exams required for the designated area of licensure, department head approval, and completion of Checkpoint 1, Checkpoint 2, and Checkpoint 3. Earn appropriate minimum grade point averages: *for undergraduate & post-baccalaureate students: 2.75 cumulative, 2.75 at UTC, 2.75 in content coursework with no grade lower than C, and 2.75 in education coursework with no grade lower than C *for graduate students: 2.75 cumulative, 2.75 in content coursework or equivalent with no grade lower than C, and 3.0 in graduate education coursework. Corequisites: EDUC 4420 or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be applied.
