ENCE 5031 - Advanced Strength and Applied Stress Analysis 3 Credit Hours
Analysis of stress, strain-stress relations, two-dimensional problems in elasticity, material failure, bending, torsion, axisysmmetrically loaded members, beams on elastic foundations, plastic behavior of materials, numerical techniques. Student must have a background in the mechanics of materials. Prerequisite: approval of department head. Standard letter grade. Differential Course Fee will be assessed.
