ENCE 5420 - Finite Element Analysis (4) Credit Hours
An introduction to the finite element method; typical topics: structural analysis, structural dynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics; use of typical large-scale computer programs; innovative design and analysis; modeling techniques; geometric or material nonlinear analysis. Prerequisites: competencies optained in course work equivalent to UTC’s ENEE 2250, Engineering Programming; MATH 2450, Introduction to Differential and Difference Equations; and MATH 2550, Multivariable Calculus; or department head approval. Differential Course Fee will be assessed.
