BIOL 4530 - Microbial Ecology (4) Credit Hours
A study of microorganisms in their natural environment with regard to microbial evolution, growth, interactions, dispersal mechanisms, ecological significance, and biotechnology applications. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 3060 , BIOL 3250 , BIOL 3350 , BIOL 4220 , and CHEM 3010 , all with minimum grades of C, or department head approval. Corequisites: BIOL 4530L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
