NUTR 1450 - Principles of Human Nutrition (3) Credit Hours
Introduction of nutrition principles with emphasis on nutritional requirements, dietary sources of nutrients, nutrient utilization, and the impact of nutrition throughout various stages of the life cycle. Explores elements of scientific, psychological, sociological bases of nutrition and its relationship to prevention and treatment of degenerative diseases. Prerequisites: Math ACT subscore of 22 or higher or USTU 1050 or MATH 1130 , MATH 1710 , MATH 1720 , MATH 1830 , MATH 1950 or MATH 1960 ; or department head approval. Pre-Dietetics majors only.
