ETCM 3150 - Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Introduction of the fundamental knowledge in Building Information Modeling (BIM). The course includes two sides: basic BIM theory and the application of existing BIM tools. These two types of contents will be alternately offered through regular lecture contents and lab practice. The typical BIM tool, ArchiCAD, will be introduced and used as a preliminary into one aspect of BIM design. Spring semester. Lecture 1 hour, laboratory 2 hours. Prerequisites: IARC 3090 or department head approval. Differential course fee will be assessed.
