Examines U.S. mass media construction of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality within an historical context and investigates the role of women and minority groups in U.S. media industries. On demand. Lecture 3 hours. Prerequisites: department head approval. May be registered as COMM 3240. Credit not allowed in both COMM 3240 and WSTU 3240. Junior standing.
