Survey of colonial Latin America beginning with contact with Spain in the 16th century until the movements for Latin America Independence in the first quarter of the nineteenth-century. Prerequisite or corequisite: ENGL 1010, or ENGL 1011, or ENGL 1020, or HIST 2100, or UHON 1010, or department head approval.
