PHYS 1019 - Light and Life (4) Credit Hours
Examines the methods of investigation that lead to our understanding of light and its role in nature and human development. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 2 hours. Prerequisite: Math ACT subscore of 22 or higher or MATH 1006 or USTU 1050 or MATH 1010 or MATH 1130 or MATH 1830 or MATH 1710 or MATH 1720 or MATH 1730 or MATH 1910 or MATH 1920 or MATH 1950 or MATH 1960 or department head approval. Credit not allowed toward the chemistry, physics, geology, biology or environmental sciences majors. May be registered as CHEM 1019. Credit not allowed in both PHYS 1019 and CHEM 1019. Corequisite: PHYS 1019L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
