PMBA 5810 - Management of Information Systems 3 Credit Hours
This is an introductory course designed to familiarize students with managerial aspects of information technology in business organizations. The course provides a balance between technical and managerial aspects of information systems. Technical topics include hardware, software, databases, telecommunications and the Internet. Managerial aspects include Electronic Commerce, using IT for competitive advantage, knowledge management, decision support systems, and business process redesign. Open to PMBA majors only. Credit not allowed in both MGT 5810 and PMBA 5810. Credit allowed in EMBA 6130 or ACC 5360 only with approval of the department head. Standard letter grade. Differential course fee will be assessed.
