Students in the sculpture concentration engage the physical world through a broad range of making strategies with a focus on conceptual intent and material exploration. Students develop a strong knowledge of fabrication processes in both traditional and nontraditional media and investigate contemporary concepts in the field through installation, performance, interdisciplinary processes, and emerging forms. At the upper level students contribute to the changing discourse of sculpture through a series of specialized topics courses.
