ANTH 3140 - Research Methods

The nature of the scientific method and research as applied to the collection, analysis, and interpretation of social and cultural data. An introduction to selected basic techniques in research and the preparation of research proposals. Fall semester. Prerequisite: A statistics course (Sociology 2500 recommended); Sociology 1510, or ANTH 1520 or ANTH 2080, or department head approval. May be registered as Sociology 3140. Credit not allowed in both Sociology 3140 and ANTH 3140.
