ECON 4400 - Economic Growth


(3) Credit Hours

An introductory survey of modern theories of economic growth and of the empirical applications of such theories. Topics include the neoclassical growth model, new growth theory and the role of economic institutions and government policy in facilitating growth. This course will examine the factors that affect long-term economic growth and development. This course will span both theoretical and empirical approaches to economic growth. On demand. Prerequisites: ECON 1010 or department head approval. Corequisite: Any one approved General Education Statistical course.
