(3) Credit Hours

This course will focus on genomics areas where computer science approaches have been applied, especially on the modeling and analysis of genome-scale biological data. Topics include modeling and analysis of gene expression, genetic variation in human genomes, genome wide association and human disease, and modeling and analysis of biological networks. Students will learn to apply their knowledge by performing genomics analysis exercises and research projects using state-of-the-art computing tools.
